How to maintain silicone solid dolls?

At present, physical dolls on the market are mainly made of two materials, one is thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), and the other is silicone. TPE physical dolls are quite common due to their low price and better user experience. However, due to the oily nature of the material, there are more daily maintenance procedures involved.

Unlike TPE physical dolls, silicone physical dolls are easier to maintain, which is why silicone dolls are more expensive. But even though it is easy to maintain, the owner still needs to regularly clean the silicone doll to avoid irreversible damage. Due to the non porous nature of silicone, silicone dolls produce little or no oil, but solid silicone dolls can absorb dust and fluff, so the most common cleaning method is dust removal.

Here are 5 example steps to remove dust and fluff from silicone dolls:

Step 1:

We need a clean soft bristled brush, dipped in some baby powder;

Step 2:

Gently brush the body surface of the silicone doll to remove all solid debris that has been contaminated;

Step 3:

Gently slide along the silicone surface with a soft sponge or handkerchief to wipe away small dust, cotton wool, or hair;

Step 4:

Rinse with clean warm water, then gently pat the doll with a towel to dry or let it air dry. Remember not to use a cloth to scrub the doll to avoid scratching the surface of the body;

Step 5:

After the silicone doll is completely dry, you can sprinkle some baby powder on it, and regularly sprinkle the powder to help isolate it from dust again.

matters needing attention:

1. For silicone solid dolls, do not use any care products containing mineral oil, such as baby oil, Vaseline, body lotion, etc., as they may make the silicone harder;

2. Please make sure not to place silicone dolls in direct sunlight, as to ensure softness, the strength of silicone dolls will not be made too high, which may pose a risk of cracking.
