Hitler's physical doll and Japan's ＂dummy＂ evolution path

It is well known that Hitler commissioned a Danish scientific expert to develop a doll (or "sailing lady") during World War II as a substitute for the improper behavior of military soldiers in the comfort station during World War II.

 

Later, people used this doll to make the prototype of the physical doll, but it was destroyed in the bombing of Dresden, and at the same time, the pioneering role of Germany in the history of physical doll was turned into ashes.

 

Japan is pleased to take over the baton of this period of history. But in fact, earlier, the Imperial Japanese Army had developed a similar physical doll technology for all soldiers in war.

 

Historically, in the early 19th century, Europe began to manufacture such products with obvious gender characteristics and decoration. For example, there was a law in Britain at that time that prohibited the import and sale of such "immoral" and "inhuman" things.

 

According to the literature, these "dummies" were a means for the Japanese Imperial Army to maintain internal stability and prevent the spread of disease, especially in Japan's expansion policy towards Asia at that time, which advocated the establishment of a pure empire to prevent racial intermarriage. At that time, the spread of disease by unclean behavior was a serious problem. For example, in the 1920s, more than 20000 soldiers in Siberia suffered from "Gaul disease".

 

Later, the Army Medical College began to develop a physical doll for military personnel. Interestingly, they developed three types, each representing different military ranks. After all, officers don't want to have the same type of dolls as soldiers, just like the difference in ethnic origin at that time, do they?

 

In Japan in the early 20th century, there was also a kind of "bronze doll", which was a physical doll based on the image of ancient Chinese characters. At that time, it was a special toy purchased by the upper class of society. On the one hand, it set off social identity with its production materials, and on the other hand, it satisfied their desire for love.

 

The development of these physical dolls in Japanese society is unprecedented and widespread. Japanese brand dolls are the only products in the global physical doll market. Although the production factories of dolls are mainly distributed in China, they are still slightly inferior to Japan in terms of cultural level. Japanese manufacturers have given physical dolls more artistic concepts, thanks to the blessing of the otaku culture and the anime culture. The concept of accompanying and guarding is far beyond the physical use of physical dolls, and is pushing physical dolls in a diversified direction.
