How to make a homemade physical doll?
Stakeholder: Attempted to self control a bjd of equal size. I have also studied the production methods of physical dolls.
Reluctantly provide the production ideas of bjd.
The production of a physical doll involves several steps: skeleton - filling (sponge) - silicone pouring - demolding - applying makeup
The model can be either a real person inverted model or a 3D model. There is very little carving in China. However, the head models are mostly hand carved.
Individuals cannot make physical dolls.
The skeleton of a physical doll is usually made of steel, and you cannot get the parts or assemble them. People with poor hands-on skills cannot do it.
In some small factories in China, the skeleton of physical dolls is of poor quality, and many have not been polished. The instep of a small factory doll is directly made of a flattened steel pipe, and like a large factory, they have carefully studied how to bear weight and how to have better self-reliance.
You need a mold, perhaps a real inverted mold, or an equivalent sized sculpture.
It must be an integrated mold and cannot be flipped like a spherical joint doll or a handmade object.
How to obtain such a grinding tool is enough to become the biggest challenge on your production path.
You can carve the body of the doll through 3D printing or sculpture, hand it over to the factory for mold flipping, and obtain the grinding tool. (You need to invest enough time and energy in developing a grinding tool to get you to buy a doll from a large factory, as long as you can contact the mold flipping factory.) Then, pour and demould it with silicone, purchase an S-hook on Taobao, and load it onto your head.
And the same goes for the head. You can outsource the makeup and hire a makeup artist to do it well.
Isn't it quite troublesome?
Any single process can be overwhelming.
Of course, you can also create a leg model, head model, and half body model to assemble, but your doll will only look like a dismembered corpse, which is unbearable.
You can also make a resin, ceramic ball joint solid doll, which does not have any practical value (but as long as you have an aesthetic online, it can look good), but you can insert an airplane cup underneath.
First of all, you must have a large hand drawn drawing of the same size and spread it out.
Collect a large piece of foam plastic and cut it into a suitable shape (for example, the head is a ball and the leg is a long cylindrical object)
If you have money, buy Japanese paper clay (if you don't have money, buy sculpture clay) and attach it to the foam plastic. First, squeeze out the approximate shape, then roughly carve, and then refine. Even if it's a physical doll of 148, you'll have to pinch it for a few years.
In order for the doll's joints to move as much as possible, you must pinch out the joint ball. The steps are as follows: evenly knead the paper clay or oil mud into a ball, and excavate both ends.
After pinching, dismember the doll, divide it into small segments, and send it to the resin factory for mold flipping along with the joint ball.
After flipping the mold, use wire to string along the joint ball and connect the limbs together. Apply makeup and wear wigs.
You can get a resin equivalent spherical joint solid doll.
If you succeed all at once, it will also cost around 4000 RMB.
You can also use 3D modeling to replace the manual process of appealing sculpture.
Resin will turn yellow, and your goddess will become a yellow faced woman with the passage of time.
Such a doll has no physical value, the only thing you can do is to dress it and put an airplane cup on its lower body.
To prevent resin yellowing, you can also make ceramic solid dolls.
If you really want to recreate the goddess in your heart, but don't want to do it yourself.
So you'll have to save 50000 to 150000 RMB for customization.
Customization by large domestic factories is approximately 30000 to 50000 yuan.
80000 to 150000 yuan overseas.
In fact, you don't have to save so much money at all. You can spend only a few thousand and have someone carve a head mold of your goddess, and (repeat the process of flipping the mold above) install the body you purchased yourself.
