The origin and development of physical dolls
To trace the emotional and physical relationship between people and anthropomorphic objects historically, the story of Pygmalion has to be mentioned.
Pygmalion is the king of Cyprus. As a clear stream in the king's realm, Pygmalion is different from other arrogant and extravagant kings. Pygmalion is only obsessed with his sculpture business every day.
Pygmalion did not like mortal women. He worked day and night to create a female ivory statue with his hands. Pygmalion devoted all his heart and soul to it and fell in love with this beautiful statue, accompany and love it all day long. Pygmalion's actions eventually moved Venus, the goddess of love, who gave life to the statue, and finally Pygmalion was able to live with this beautiful woman.
Dr Marcord Smith, head of doctoral research at the School of Humanities at the Royal Academy of Arts, wrote in his work The Erotic Doll: There are several texts in Ovid's story that suggest that before the statue became a real person, the sculptor was not only There is a spiritual love affair, and there has been a sexual relationship. Other such "sculptural love" legends can be found in the classical period. For example, the Greek orator Athenaos wrote a love story of a man with a sensual affection for a statue of Cupid. A more recent example is the rumoured 1877 news of a gardener attempting to have sex with a replica of the sculpture "Venus with a Broken Arm".
Throughout history, those men who could not "get married" with beautiful sculptures have met this need in other ways. But this seems to have never stopped the man's only quirk, which is having sex with objects that are similar in shape to women. In France, this female-like configuration is known as "dame de voyage" (dame de voyage), and in Spanish it is called "dama de viaje" (dama de viaje); nowadays, inflatable dolls are known as inflatable dolls in Japan. It became the "Dutch Lady", named for the hand-stitched leather masturbation dolls brought to Japan by Dutch sailors in the 17th century.
Let's go back in time to the war era of "cannon"
As an extreme racial person, Hitler realized early on the importance of maintaining the purity of "Aryan blood". Secretly developed an "inflatable doll" that can be used by soldiers to solve physiological problems.
Ten years later, when the second Indian Ocean War broke out (well, it was actually the Vietnam War), in order to solve the physical problems of soldiers in the war, American scientists decided to implement the sex doll plan in the Vietnam War. Today, of course, is different, with a steady stream of inflatable dolls arriving in the hands of GIs before long. That night, the soldiers in the entire US military camp felt the deep love from the motherland.
Subsequently, the Germans also realized the actual value of this top military secret that year, and began to make and sell similar toys, and the inflatable dolls were officially put into commercial use. There is no doubt that the founder of Barbie, Ms. Ruth Handler, was inspired by inflatable dolls to design the world's most popular toy for girls.
